Scholarship recipients and donors gathered on a Tuesday night for the Moxie Awards, an event to celebrate their achievements and generosity. For most donors and recipients, this was the first time meeting in person. Scholarship recipients were selected for exhibiting “perseverance and courage that positively affect the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied communities.” Many proud parents were in attendance. After chatting and eating passed appetizers, attendees headed into the auditorium for formal presentations of the awards. Dessert was served after the awards.
